    • In the midst of an unprecedented challenge, inspirational and impactful stories of leadership abound. Yesterday, the state announced an emergency program to provide child care for essential employees serving the public – police, fire fighters, EMT, health care providers and staff and others. This initiative is an outcome of county and state leaders who saw the need in their communities and then set out to address it. Positive and reassuring stories like this emerge daily! CCI salutes the hard working public servants who are working tirelessly to implement ‘on the ground’ solutions for their communities.[/expand]
  • Gov\’s Office: All 64 Colorado counties have been advanced for inclusion in the SBA’s EIDL loan program

    • The counties highlighted within the Governor’s letter were identified solely because they touch all 64 counties in the state – a procedural requirement of the SBA process to illustrate contiguous county impact. State officials worked with county representatives to quickly secure the required examples of immediate harm that allowed the Governor to advance the entirety of the state for SBA approval. The Governor’s letter enabled a process that will benefit all 64 Colorado counties[/expand]

    • Statute requires a ‘speedy trial’ defined as within 6 months. And, when a defendant requests a jury trial, that has to be honored. Courts are being asked to get as much business off their dockets as fast as they can. So, most closures right now are for 48 hours or so to give courts time to come back with a plan on how to clear their docket.[/expand]
